OUR STORY

Built on Nuclear. Evolved Through Innovation.

In 1957, engineering partners Ian Martin and Mary Masson founded a consulting practice to support Canada’s emerging nuclear power industry. When a major project was unexpectedly cancelled, they made a defining decision: instead of letting their engineers go, they redeployed them by contracting their expertise to other organizations.

That instinct — to stay agile and put people first — became the foundation of Raise.

1957

Ian Martin and Mary Masson launch a nuclear engineering consultancy called Ian Martin, and the origin of what would be rebranded to Raise.

1960s – 1990s

Decades of growth supporting Canada’s CANDU program, reactor builds, and the broader power sector with engineering and technical talent.

2000s

Expansion into enterprise workforce management, building the systems, compliance frameworks, and delivery models that power and energy clients require.

Today

Rebranded to Raise in 2022, we are now an innovative workforce partner combining AI-powered talent strategies, Direct Sourcing, and deep domain expertise to deliver for the nuclear industry’s most critical programs.
